SMA Work Release - Daytona

Description

The Work Release Facility is contracted through the Florida Department of Corrections. Selected inmates are able to live here and work for paid employment in the community during the last months of their confinement. This program provides gradual reintegration back into the community, gainful employment, accumulations of savings, preservation of family and community ties, culinary courses, and participation in self-help programs. This location is also the home to the Food Service program. This program is responsible for providing 3 meals per day to 10 separate facilities. SMA Clients who partake in the food service program are offered an educational opportunity through the Culinary Arts program. Some clients are qualified to earn certification through the American Culinary Federation.
